What Anna Believes

I feel our community is at a pivotal point. We must continue to work toward positive growth, keeping our neighborhood viable, vital, and vigorous. My community is very vulnerable to unsavory businesses, predatory lenders, and declining property values. Working together with our community groups, I know I can make a difference by becoming the leading voice and exemplary activist in our community.

Changing misconceptions about our neighborhood and improving its image are the overriding objectives I expect to accomplish. I will work on our continuing Streetscape Enhancement, helping set precedence for long range planning of our Historic Transport Route (Nolensville Road) with the planning department and our neighborhood groups. We have a rich, cultural diversity in our neighborhood, which I plan to emphasize.  I want to make the Flatrock/Woodbine area a destination for affordable housing, eating, visiting, and shopping.  This long-range planning will help shape the future of our community and ensure its stability.
